In March 2023, the Northside Youth Group will join the effort by painting and repairing a Christian school in Guatemala City, while bringing fun and encouragement to the children.

The churches of Christ in Guatemala have been working for over 30 years to fulfill their vision of planting 100 churches.  To date they have planted over 80 self sustaining (or God-sustained) congregations, and are continuing the work to meet the spiritual and human needs of Guatemalans.  Northside partners with Guatemalan churches to share the Gospel to all who will listen, and to meet their human needs. Although Guatemala is rich in natural and cultural beauty, it is one of the poorest in the western hemisphere.

Therefore, even though our primary objective is to help the local churches evangelize, we also try to bless our brothers and sisters by meeting some of their needs, including food and shelter. As brother Alvarez in Guatemala City says, "It is hard for people to hear the gospel of Jesus over the sound of their stomachs growling."; God's church is alive and on the move in Central America, sharing the riches of the gospel of Christ; at Northside we are blessed to be a part of His work in beautiful Guatemala!
