Guatemala Mission

Preaching the gospel, meeting needs and offering hope.

SUPPORT NORTHSIDE MISSIONS

2021 Guatemala Mission Update

On September 25th, 2021, Northside will join our Guatemalan brothers and sisters to evangelize, encourage, and meet the human needs of the community of Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Guatemala.  We will work with an existing and established church to preach the Gospel and to offer hope to an area whose economy and people have been hit hard by the effects of Covid-19.  We will allow God to use us as He sees fit to bless our brothers and sisters in Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa.

Please consider being a part of this effort, and contact Jeff Williams at 210-441-0007 or williams9305@outlook.com.

The churches of Christ in Guatemala have been working for over 30 years to fulfill their vision of planting 100 churches.  To date they have planted over 80 self-sustaining (or God-sustained) congregations, and are continuing the work to meet the spiritual and human needs of Guatemalans.  Northside partners with Guatemalan churches to share the Gospel to all who will listen, and to meet their human needs. Although Guatemala is rich in natural and cultural beauty, it is one of the poorest in the western hemisphere.  Therefore, even though our primary objective is to help the local churches evangelize, we also try to bless our brothers and sisters by meeting some of their needs, including food and shelter.  As brother Alvarez in Guatemala City says, "it is hard for people to hear the gospel of Jesus over the sound of their stomachs growling." God's church is alive and on the move in Central America, sharing the riches of the gospel of Christ; at Northside we are blessed to be a part of His work in beautiful Guatemala!
